A MINDFUL APPROACH TO HIRING, EMPLOYMENT, AND MOBILITY: SUMMER INTERN HIRING BEGINS (AUTHORED BY DAVID COSLOY)

As we commence our search for Bastien Advisory Group’s first undergraduate and graduate summer interns, I think back to 1994 when I first applied to be an intern.  I recall being tremendously purposeful about where I wanted to land and why I wanted to land there.  I thought about how that internship might be a good long-term career opportunity for me or, at the least, a sound learning experience to determine what to explore next. Here are some examples of what Bastien Advisory Group is doing to ensure a meaningful recruiting and internship experience:

1. We promise mindful hiring decisions: We value transparency.  We learn about you, you learn about us, and we decide, if we should work together.

2. Be mindful, as Bastien Advisory Group values this: If hired, you can expect to enjoy learning each day and accelerated professional growth.  We hope that you can find your job enjoyable by being present in your employment – that is the sort of intrinsic motivation that we look for and foster.  Take time each day to pause and reflect on what you are learning and leverage that new knowledge.

3.
